This month's bag credit earnings are being donated to the Maui Health Foundation's Kokua 4 a Cause.
Mana Foods is incredibly proud to be a one-of-a-kind, family owned and operated business. We believe that it's our responsibility to promote environmentally friendly practices, and to give back to our community. We also believe that we're all one family, and our bag credit program is designed to support the environment and our extended ʻohana.
The Mana Foods bag credit program...
Every month Mana Foods donates to a different local organization. It’s really easy to participate: whenever you bring your own grocery bag (any kind of bag) to Mana Foods, you receive a bag credit. You can donate this or take it off your bill.
What makes Maui Health Foundation's Kokua 4 a Cause so special...
We are so excited to be donating to the Maui Health Foundation's Kokua 4 a Cause this month and feel connected to their mission…
“Unite with us in compassionate action to ensure every woman on Maui and Lana’i, regardless of insurance status, has access to life-saving breast & colon cancer screenings. Every dollar raised stays in Maui County, benefiting our women in need.” -MHF
“For every $200 raised by Kokua 4 A Cause, the Foundation is able to fund a mammogram for a woman in need.” -MHF
“Breast cancer continues to be the prevailing cause of cancer deaths in Hawaii. Studies show that 1 in every 8 women in the United States will develop breast cancer. And, approximately 700 men & women in Hawai'i are diagnosed with colorectal cancer each year. So many of us has or knows someone who has been touched by breast or colon cancer.” -MHF
“The Maui Health Foundation continues to provide uninsured and underinsured women of Maui with screenings and biopsies throughout the year. You can support this important cause by creating or joining a team for fundraising activities, making a direct donation, or visiting local businesses and restaurants that are participating in the initiative. Every contribution helps make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer.” -MHF
