This month's bag credit earnings are being donated to Maui Health Foundation.
Mana Foods is incredibly proud to be a one-of-a-kind, family owned and operated business. We believe that it's our responsibility to promote environmentally friendly practices, and to give back to our community. We also believe that we're all one family, and our bag credit program is designed to support the local community, education, and the environment.
The Mana Foods bag credit program...
Every month Mana Foods donates to a different local organization. It’s really easy to participate: whenever you bring your own grocery bag (any kind of bag) to Mana Foods, you receive a bag credit. You can donate this or take it off your bill.
November’s earnings are all being donated to Maui Health Foundation and we couldn’t be happier about it! This story of this organization is the following…
“Maui Health Foundation, formerly Maui Memorial Medical Center Foundation, was created in 1997 with a $1.25 million bequest from the late Richard North, a Kihei resident. Mr. North was so moved by the care he received at Maui Memorial Medical Center that he bequeathed the bulk of his estate to demonstrate his gratitude. This incredible gift planted the seed for the beginning of the Foundation. In 2019, the Foundation changed its name to Maui Health Foundation, to align itself with Maui Health as our support now encompasses not only Maui Memorial Medical Center, but Kula Hospital and Lanai Community Hospital.
Maui Health Foundation is dedicated to the philanthropic support of Maui Health hospitals. We strive to work hand in hand with Maui Health to truly be a lifeline for our patients by supporting patient care, advancing programs and technology, and creating healing environments for all who walk through our doors.
Maui Health Foundation is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. With our partnership with Maui Health, we are pleased to announce that beginning in 2021, 100% of your donations made to Maui Health Foundation will go toward saving lives on Maui.” -MHF
