Thick Spaghetti Alla Puttanesca
(recipe serves 4 people)
Ingredients:
- 6 Tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Cloves of Garlic (Chopped)
- 1 Pound of Tomato (Diced, Peeled, Seeded)
- 3 Tablespoons of Capers
- 1/4 Teaspoon Red Chilli Pepper Flakes
- Mediterranean Black Olives (May Substitute Black or Kalamata Olives)
- 2 Tablespoons of Fresh Italian Parsley (Chopped)
- 6 Anchovy Fillets (Chopped)
Directions:
(Takes 15 Minutes to Prepare Ingredients & 30 Minutes to Cook)
- Bring a Large Pot of Water to Boil
- Heat Olive Oil in a Medium Skillet Over Medium Heat
- Add The Chopped Garlic to the Olive Oil & Sauté for 1-2 Minutes (or Until the Garlic Turns Golden in Color)
- Add the Tomatoes & cook for 10 Minutes
- Add Capers, Pepper Flakes, & Olives -- Cook for 2 More Minutes
- Meanwhile Cook The Spaghetti According to Package Directions
- Add 1 Tablespoon of Parsley & Anchovies to the Sauce -- Cook for 2 More Minutes
- Add Salt to Taste
- Drain Pasta, Add Sauce & Toss Well
- Sprinkle with Remaining Parsley
- Serve and Enjoy!
